Book Depository - Head of Marketing
Reporting to the Managing Director and this role will be responsible for building The Book Depository's proposition to customers around the world. Crucial to this is the ability to communicate imaginatively in order to develop meaningful relationships between the businesses we run and customers. The Book Depository has been very successful in developing a strong message for customers and there is a tremendous opportunity to accelerate this through leveraging existing customer relationships in conjunction with new acquisition work. Developing both CRM and developing a challenging growth strategy this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketer with a global outlook.
Key
Responsibilities
- Working with respective
teams (both in Egypt and the UK) and Group Senior Management to initiate
a comprehensive marketing strategy and to deliver this with exceptional
results.

relationships within channels e.g. Google, affiliate networks etc and

including front line customer service and
development.
- Work closely with the Group senior
management to leverage their efforts both strategically and
tactically.This role can make a real difference to a small team and fast
moving business.

Preferred
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years experience in
European eCommerce management, ideally in marketing. With a full grasp
of the detail of online marketing management with a strategic
perspective to use it appropriately.
- A passion for
problem solving and innovation.
- Flexible to cope
with changing priorities within an agile development environment.
Understands industry best practice and can reference
accordingly.
- Able to understand and interpret
analytics, CRM systems and use them to inform performance in conjunction
with management teams.
- Ability to delegate and
manage work given to others.
- Strong business focus
and sense of achievement. Self-motivation and ability to work in
fast-paced environment.
