The UK has the most advanced ecommerce market in Europe, and the third largest in the world, after China and the US*. The UK is now expected to have nearly 60 million ecommerce users, leaving only a minority of the population as non-digital buyers**. Ecommerce is dependent on technology to thrive and, in recent years, has transformed the way we shop online. UK buyers have developed a preference for using their mobile phones to make online purchases, revolutionising the digital retail landscape. Technological advances and innovation in the sector have improved the customer experience, making it easier than ever to buy online.
ITN Business is partnering with IMRG to produce a digital news-style programme, ‘Ecommerce: The Marketplace of Tomorrow’, to be launched on the 19th of September 2024, at the eCommerce Expo, ExCel London.
The programme will explore the technological advances transforming both the customer experience and online sales, sustainable solutions within the supply chain to match consumer trends and the solutions being adopted to improve operations and logistics.
Presented by journalist and presenter, Sangeeta Kandola in ITN’s London studio, Ecommerce: The Marketplace of Tomorrow will explore key themes including:
- The role of technology to revolutionise the customer experience and optimise online sales
- Sustainability matching consumer trends
- Adopting solutions for operations and logistics
Following the in-person launch at the eCommerce Expo, the digital programme will be hosted on a bespoke page on the ITN Business content hub, and will be supported with an online marketing campaign.
There are commercial opportunities for leading organisations to be featured in the programme and spearhead their own news item. If your organisation wants to share what you stand for and be part of this important conversation, please contact ITN Business’ Programming Director, Isabella Sharp at [email protected].
