Check you're on track...

The new rules around data protection will be enforced as of May 2018. The ICO announced last October that business would be expected to be compliant with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by then, not just starting out. The forum presents a great opportunity to check you are on the right path.

To help retailers understand their new obligations, including changes to gaining consent for marketing activity, fines and data portability. IMRG will be hosting a final forum on preparation required for GDPR, on 11th April. Experts from Womble Bond Dickinson will be providing insight and you will have the opportunity to discuss the challenges with your peers. You will leave the workshop with actionable insight that you can take back to your business.

GDPR impacts many different areas of retailing and some of the changes will impact how you interact and sell to customers. Others represent a major change in managing risk and exposure should a business suffer from a data breach.
