IMRG Data Webinar - What to do now about secure customer authentication (SCA)

PSD2 – which makes two-factor customer authentication a requirement – came into force on 14 September, but enforcement has been pushed back 18 months. While this will be welcome news for many, it doesn’t mean it can now be ignored – retailers will still be required to demonstrate they are taking necessary steps toward compliance if the FCA has reason to investigate them.

Secure customer authentication (SCA) means customers making purchases will now need to go through an additional security step; most likely through a code sent to a phone or by providing biometric information.

So what should retailers look to put in place to ensure they don’t fall foul of the authorities? What impact do the new requirements have on any work retailers undertake on the checkout from now on? What advantages are to be found in phasing SCA in over a longer period?

Join IMRG and J.P.Morgan as we build a checklist for what retailers should look to do now.

You will learn:

  • The options available for evolving your checkout
  • How to implement SCA without negatively impacting conversion
  • How to build a plan to review all customer touch-points
